We are Boy Scout Troop 73 in the Sepohayetv District of the Flint River Council. Our charter is granted to Inman United Methodist Church located at 151 Hills Bridge Road near the intersection of Inman Road and Highway 92. Troop 73 began in 1991 under the direction of Steve McDowell. Steve spent numberous years giving of his time and talents to create the strong troop we have today. Currently, we have over 28 active Scouts and Eagle Scouts. Since 1991, 30 Scouts have earned the prestigious Rank of Eagle.

The troop meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday night beginning at 7:00pm at the Youth Hut at Inman UMC. We attempt to hold at least one activity, usually an outdoor event, each month during our Scout year. Sometimes we may have several outdoor activities in a given month due to supporting Council, District and Troop schedules.

Bringing Youth to Christ Through Scouting

The Scouting program at Inman UMC is more than just an activity for our youth to learn about the outdoors. Scouting provides fun, fellowship, and training to our youth as well as youth in our community. It emphasizes honesty, self-reliance, and respect. Through a year-round program, it affects character, citizenship and personal fitness.

But the success of our Scouting depends on our volunteers, who serve in a variety of leadership roles so that our young people may benefit from our Scouting ministry. As the Boy Scouts of America celebrates its anniversary, we salute the splendid volunteers who serve in poistions of leadership with Inman Troop 73.

We congratulate and offer our thanks to the leaders of Inman Troop 73 chartered to Inman United Methodist Church.
