Welcome to Inman UMC’s Children’s Ministries!
Our prayer is that we will embody Christ’s love, reaching out to the families of our community, embracing them in a caring fellowship and empowering them to share God’s grace in the world. We strive to provide all family members with solid theological formation, fun and engaging fellowship, worship, and a variety of opportunities to serve God as we serve one another. Through our various ministry programs, we hope that all persons will encounter the love of God in truly transforming ways.

God's GEMS Room - GEMS is about sharing God's love with some very special children by Giving, Embracing, Mentoring and Serving. GEMS children need what any child needs: to feel loved and safe and accepted. If you feel that you could help out in this ministry to our special needs children by volunteering as a substitute on Wednesdays or Sundays when our lead teacher, Ms. Jane, may be on vacation or sick, please contact Connie Corley at the church office.
Nursery is available for children, birth thru 2 years, at the 11:00 a.m. worship services and during the Sunday School hour. We also have a special Sunday School class for our toddlers and preschool.
Sunday School for elementary children meets each week at 9:50 a.m.
Children's church is offered at the 11 a.m. worship service for pre-school children thru 3rd grade. Our program includes a time of child-friendly worship based on our church calendar and time for creative experiences through our centers (clay, painting, puzzles, drawing, collage, etc.)
Upcoming Events
Prayer Blankets
The Children's Mission for the fall months will be "Prayer Blankets." We will be using our offering given each month to purchase supplies to make fleece blankets to take to shut-ins, those in the hospital, and newborns. As we make the blankets and tie knots on the end, each child will say a prayer over the blanket to be given.
