Inman United Methodist Music Ministries
The music program at Inman United Methodist reaches out to include those who wish to express their Christian faith with instrumental or vocal talents through choral music and solo presentation.
Volunteers support the piano ministry for the early Sunday service and worship is enhanced by a rotation of soloists on piano, guitar, trumpet, and vocal Christian music.
Soloists and the Chancel Choir praise the Lord with a mix of gospel, contemporary, traditional, and seasonal music at the eleven o'clock service and special services throughout the year.
We are also blessed to have Judy Roehm accompanying on the piano at the eleven o'clock service and seasonal special services. Jolynn Stevens is the Director of Music.
Singing for our Seniors (S.O.S) Update
The Choir has been sponsoring a Cokesbury singing visitation team each month called Singing for Our Seniors (S.O.S). On the third Thursday of each month, we are visiting the shut-in and nursing home residents from the families and friends of the Inman congregation. These last eight months, the team visited private homes, LaFayette Nursing Home, Dogwood Forest, and Southland Nursing Home in Peachtree City.
The team leads visitation, singing, and prayer with each resident. The personal Cokesbury serenade led one of the nursing home residents to say, "You all make me feel so special." It is such a blessing to bring the warm feeling to those who are in need of feeling the Lord's touch and are not able to be with us at Inman for church services.
The singers join together for lunch at a convenient place near our route.
The car doors are open to those who would want to join our roving minstrels on the third Thursday jaunts. The choir is the sponsor, but we welcome those who would like to assist with this ministry. The team meets and goes over a few Cokesbury songs at 10:30 a.m. in the Choir Room.
Please inform the Church office if you know of other family members or friends who are temporarily or permanently shut-in and would like to have a joyful visit from the S.O.S. team.

SINGING FOR OUR SENIORS AND SHUT INS
The choir has begun a new service ministry for the members of Inman. We have started a six month trial period of this ministry in which we gather once a month, on the third Thursday, at 10:30 in the choir room. We will then visit the homes of those seniors who are unable to come to church regularly or may have a special birthday. We will sing for them from the Cokesbury Hymnal.
This ministry is not a perfectly, practiced singing time, but a sharing of Cokesbury music and visitation time with those seniors that cannot always make the trip to church.
