Youth Ministry at IUMC

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

Welcome Youth!

Our Youth Program provides youth from 6th Grade and up the opportunity to nurture their Christian faith through study, fellowship, and, of course, FUN.

IMPACT with Square Foot Ministries

Each summer, usually in the first week or two of June, Square Foot Ministry provides an opportunity for youth groups to come together and serve those in need in our area. Projects range from helping build homes to cleaning up and helping transform community areas. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve our local community and work with fellow church groups!

No special skills or tools are required to participate, but work gloves are recommended.

Email inman@inmanmethodist.org and let us know if you would like to participate.

2019 Trip Dates: Depart Saturday, June 15, Return Saturday, June 22, 2019

For more than 10 years, IUMC has participated in the Appalachia Service Project. This is a unique, one week mission trip where a team of adult leaders and youth travel out of state to Appalachia and work to make a home warmer, safer and drier for a family in need. Over the years we have served in Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and West Virginia.

We send an average of 14-16 volunteers (adults and youth) to serve each year.

No special skills or tools are required to participate. HOWEVER, there is a lot of work required.

It costs approximately $650.00 PER PERSON to attend this trip. The team raises funds to participate in a variety of ways and team members are required to help with these projects - not only to raise money but also to bond with and get used to working together with other team members.

Fundraisers include:

  • Monthly potato bakes from January to May. Team members are responsible for assisting with cooking, serving and cleaning up.
  • Doing odd jobs, such as yardwork in the spring, for church members and others.
  • Yard Sales & Car Washes
